1st prize – $100 USD, official release on the Cool Remix EP to be heard by Landon Austin’s 2 Million+ Spotify listeners as well as Matthew’s 180K+ Spotify listeners, plus Shoutouts from both Landon & Matthew on Instagram and a chance to join Matthew Parker on an Instagram livestream to talk about your remix.
2nd prize – Everything in 1st prize except for the cash prize.
3rd prize – A 3rd remix may possibly be chosen for official release if the judges really love it, but no guarantees.
RULES
All genres allowed. Winners will be chosen by Matthew Parker & Landon Austin. We will also take into consideration the popularity reached on the web by your remix. The more you promote your remix, the more it can catch our attention, however, the quality of the remix is more important than popularity. You are allowed to share your remix on Youtube, Soundcloud, and all socials for promo purposes, but always include the link to the contest: http://matthewparkermusic.com/cool-remix-contest. You are allowed to send your remix to blogs and Youtube promotion channels, but monetization must be turned off.
All remixes submitted to the contest become property of Matthew Parker & Landon Austin, and by submitting your track, you accept this. No royalties will be due to remixers.
Do not use stems from the original in your own tracks. Do not release your remix on Spotify or any other stores. Do not monetize your remix in any way. Such usage will easily be spotted by automatic content matching and Copyright Complaints will be filed against you. Please be respectful–you are allowed to share your remix but don’t abuse it.
